No, Wool Week in South Iceland is every other year. Wool week was supposed to be for the first time in 2020, but Covid-19 changed that and it was therefore postponed until 2021. Then we had Wool Week again in 2022 and will be again in 2024 and every other year from now on.

The programme for South Iceland Wool Week 2024 is not ready yet, it will be published sometime in june.

Workshops, sheep colour show, market day with food trucks, knitting café at Þingborg community center, knitting evening with a free lecture, open studios and more.

We have not opened up for booking workshops yet. It will open on June 8th, 2024 at 12:00 pm, and it will open 24 hours earlier for those signed up to our newsletter.

Þingborg Woolshop, Uppspuni – Minimill, Feldfé, Hespuhúsið and The Spinning Sisters are those that organise the Wool Week.
