The “New World”, North and South America, are host to a wide variety of native plants. In this workshop we will explore the rich variety of colors which can be obtained from using many of the Traditional plants used by women throughout history. We will work with wool yarns and expand our color palette by using different mordants and afterbaths.
What students need to bring: Students need to wear clothing they do not mind getting dye on. They may bring masks and protective gloves if they choose. Bring lunch or lunch to share.
Preparation for workshop: No previous experience needed, this is for beginners
What’s included in the fee: Included all materials for workshop, dye stuff and mini skeins of Icelandic yarn.
