Learn to dye wool fast and easy using a microwave and acid dyes. This method is wonderful for relatively smaller quantities of wool and brighter color using a small amount of dye powder. Students will learn the basic technique as well as color gradients, “rainbow” dyeing, overdyeing and more. Icelandic wool takes dye beautifully with these techniques!

What students need to bring: Wool, silk or other animal fibers to dye, loose wool and/or yarn. Appropriate clothing for getting messy and/or an apron. If participants have some acid dye they want to try they can bring that as well. Bring your own lunch or lunch to share.

Preparation for workshop: Nothing, this is for beginners.

What’s included in the fee: Included are all dye materials.
