Námskeið er kennt á ensku. – Workshop in English.

An introduction to tablet weaving, with a focus on Icelandic bands. Participants will learn some theory and historical background, practical skills such as warping, the importance of tablet positioning, and weaving short bands. There are plenty of tips and tricks, as well as access to a dedicated Facebook group that reviews all the learning steps with text, images, and videos.

What students need to bring: Scissors, paper, pencil, belt, safety pins, 2 screw clamps. Bring lunch or lunch to share.

Preparation for workshop:  Nothing, this workshop is for beginners.

What’s included in the fee: Tablets and yarn for weaving and other materials supplied by tutor.
