Needle binding – an ancient craft

Marianne Guckelsberger teaches this class in both Icelandic and English.

kl.09:00-12:00

Gamla Þingborg

Beginners class

Students don’t have to bring anything unless they want to use their own wool yarn.

Needle binding is one of the oldest methods in textiles. Needle binding takes a lot longer to work with than for example knitting or crochet (but it lasts longer because it can’t unravel) and is suitable for smaller pieces like beanies, socks and mittens.
There are many different stitches from very simple to complicated. You will learn 2-3 stitches and will learn how to create a beanie, socks or mittens.

Confirmation fee and cost of course materials included.

8.000kr

We reserve the right to cancel if not enough participants or due to other unforeseen circumstances. In case of cancellation we will refund 100%
